The Salmon Arm Fair is one of the Shuswap's longest-running traditions, presented by the Salmon Arm and Shuswap Lake Agricultural Association since 1897. For three days each late August, the fairgrounds at 481 5 Avenue SW fill with livestock and 4-H competitions, home and garden exhibits, arts and crafts, antique tractors and a classic car show and shine. A Saturday morning parade, a marketplace and trade show, main-stage entertainment and the West Coast Amusements midway round out what locals call the Best 3 Days of Summer. The association also maintains and operates the fairgrounds year-round, hosting other community events and festivals on the site.
Next year's fair dates aren't posted here yet — the association can claim this listing to add them as soon as they're set.
